The first time I heard a muslim say ‘peace be upon him’ I roared with laughter.  At last, I thought, a dissenter.  I later realised of course that his accent was responsible and he didn't really want to piss on the prophet.  Shame, the notion was quite refreshing while it lasted.

In a more serious vein, the 'statement of respect' following the mention of their prophet's name is actually a telling insight into the nature of their creed.  I watched a late night political programme on TV last year where a mixed studio audience was addressing Islamic issues.  The obligatory pbuh was being used after every mention of Mohammed until ........ it happened!!  One young muslim quite forgot himself during his torrent of rhetoric and forgot the compulsory pbuh!!  He got two more words out before a look of horror transformed his face from agitatedly belligerent to fearfully alarmed.  As he blurted out the tardy epithet his eyes darted around the room looking for the scimitar that would surely strike.  Perhaps a kindly loveable old mullah will reassure him and tell him he may get away with just a reduction in his virgin quota when it is his turn to wear the belt.

The point is, this morally empty religion relies on fear, and only fear.  It's disciples are brainwashed into becoming 'obsessive compulsives', especially when it comes to paying verbal or written respects.  Show me a muslim with a mind of his own and I will show you a traitor to his faith, because it simply isn't possible.   Jeff B
