* There are more MOD civil servants than there are front-line soldiers.
* £4billion has been spent on a new MoD computer system to link 70,000 desks
worldwide.
* The MoD fell for a massive fraud and paid out £2,500,000 on a battalion of
imaginary soldiers
* £1 million has been paid in compensation over the last four years to bullied
squaddies.
* The MOD recently spent £272,600 on eight paintings "because we didn't want to
use second-rate paintings of dead admirals"
* £2,500 was spent on training an RAF aircraftswoman to retrain as a pole
dancer. ( She was flown from her base in
Northern Ireland and
put up in an hotel in London so that she could enrol in the stripping course.)
* 6,000 MoD policemen - the departments private police force - guard the armed
forces.
