Merging forces
Sir - Philip Johnston (Opinion, March 27) wrote very interestingly about the
proposed mergers of our country's police forces.
Surely we can see through the rubbish spouted by Charles Clarke, the Home
Secretary, and acknowledge that the only reason for the proposed mergers is that
each new police authority will be responsible for one of the regions into which
those who control the EU have decreed this once free and independent country
shall be divided.
