‘England My Land’

 Trumpets sound across the shire

Comes forth the blazing chariot of fire

She rides the lightening, can you see her?

England’s goddess, Boadicea

And dragons fly across the sky

When they hear St George’s battle cry

“An eye for an eye, surrender or you’ll die”

England my land, forever reign in my heart

England my land, we shall never walk apart

England, your destiny and pride can’t be denied

And I’ll stand by your side

Until the day I die

Illustrious land, my England

Armour-clad warriors lay sleeping in your veins

Waiting till they’re called once more

To defend your hills and plains

And the axe of war will fly anew

As adversaries come in to view

Your beaches shall remain free

Oh glorious fortress of the sea…

England my land, forever reign in my heart

England my land, we shall never walk apart

England, your destiny and pride can’t be denied

And I’ll stand by your side

Until the day I die

Illustrious land, my England
