AN INSANE IDEA
Retirement beckons
Sir - Professor Patel (letter, March 29) appears to advocate paying the same
pension to those pensioners who have arrived in the country lately as to those
who have lived and contributed here all their working lives.
To do so would be a sure way to invite all the world's old people to come and
live here when they retire.
