BBC
bias
Lesley Denny 5 Jan 2003
Tonight's BBC1 News at 10,30pm reporting the latest suicide bombing in Israel
had the most offensive personal comment from their reporter Orla Guerin, not
exactly known for her sensitivity.
Having given the number of Israeli victims, she then added 'But the number of
Palestinian dead is never-ending' thanks to the Israelis!
My family and I were deeply shocked and offended by this vile attempt to
equate armed terrorists killed in a gun battle with innocent men, women and
children blown to pieces by fanatical suicide bombers. For months this
reporter has produced biased and highly offensive copy slanted to present a
false picture of events in favour of Palestinian terrorism. She is the Tokyo
Rose of the terrorist cause, causing great distress and grief to many British
viewers who have relatives and friends in Israel.
It
is quite unacceptable that the BBC should be lending support to Islamic
terrorism on the eve of a war. This bias must end. Not only is it racist but
wildly inaccurate, as anyone capable of using the Net can discover for
themselves.
