This is precisely what the BBC should not be about: social engineering and political propagandising.  If the BBC Charter conditions on political impartiality were enforced it could not happen.

This is a particularly blatant piece of media bias, but it is not out of step with the general approach of the media in general and the BBC in particular.

The BBC routinely biases political and current affairs programming by (1) the choice of programming, including position and prominence of issues, (2) the choice of presenters and  (3) the choice of guests.  In addition, they regularly run phone or text polls which make the news rather than reporting it.  They are also directly collusive with politicians in  suppressing political stories such as the Blair daughter's attempted suicide.

The BBC is displaying a truly  stupid arrogance by  being so openly and unambiguously biased. It gives their enemies  - those who would abolish or re-engineer the BBC out of all recognition -  heavy ammunition to fire when they gain power.   RH

The BBC have produced another drama, entitled, 'English Harem'. It's another slap in the face for it's MAJORITY viewers because it is absolute rubbish and designed to show the hard working Muslim supporting three women, whilst integrating fully into English society, and being set upon by nasty white racists.  Pathetic tripe.

"We are aiming to provide one-metre, worldwide accuracy through Galileo's 'open' service - this is not possible today without regional or local augmentation," said Esa's Galileo project manager, Javier Benedicto.

This is at best disingenuous, at worst an outright lie. GPS has offered millimetric accuracy for some considerable time (years), albeit with specialist receiving equipment. Galileo would not offer significantly more.  The project will cost hundreds of billions, to replace a perfectly acceptable system with, um, a very similar one.

So what's the difference? In fact, Galileo is no more than an EU control mechanism, intended to be used for people tracking, and to give the new EU military independence from GPS. Why would it possibly need that? The only logical answer is quite ominous: the EU only needs independence from GPS if it expects to be in conflict with the USA!

I don't expect you to take my arguments at face value (why should you?), but then why do you accept the spin put on Galileo by the EU and its lackeys, the British government? Technology providers are hardly impartial either! Why are you people always acting as apologists for the EU? Yet again we get a sycophantic story, without any attempt at objectivity.

Shame on you BBC! Your journalists once went on strike to defend the corporation's objectivity regarding spy satellites (Zircon--you youngsters: go read some history!), now you roll over to have your tummies tickled on an issue far more sinister!

Why don't you run a real exposé for a change?

Centralised control and a New Cold War Arms Race with the launch of Galileo an unwanted, irrelevant rival to Geo Sat. The Central supra national EUropean soviet is imposing at an eventual cost of Billions.

The hell with the people - where is the similar investment in medical research to that being spent by YOUR new central EU Government relative to Galileo, arms production and the air race for power.

Between 1 in 2 and 1 in 3 people in Europe will develop cancer - which do YOU want your money spent on? Arms, Galileo, Aironautic control or on a cure for the condition that will PROBABLY kill you?

OK so is the EU a Democracy or just a centralised New Communist power structure to control YOU.

Galileo will be able to watch YOU as can Geo Sat but the EU wants its own as America has beliefs in Freedom in its Constitution that prevent its use on individuals - Yesterday Russia launched upgrade satellites for its own Geo Sat system. The first blows in the arms race for ultimate power and ultimate control - where the EU has entered into partnership with China against America!
